01.03.2016 Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund in cooperation with the Spanish company “Effergy” organized a four-day seminar entitled “Evaluation of solar potential and mapping” started from February 27 to March 1.The Consultants from “Effergy” Louis Martin Pomares and Diego Bermejo welcomed the participants and expressed hope that the seminar will promote to increase local experts knowledge in the field. Seminar aimed to strengthen capacity building in relevant specialized institutions, which will contribute greatly to the development of solar energy in Armenia through already trained specialists. Climatic Zones in Armenia and Solar Potential Mapping Features, as well as Classical Evaluation of Solar Radiation, Spectral Distribution of Solar Radiation, Interaction of Solar Radiation with the Atmosphere, Modeling of Solar Radiation from Satellite Images, PV Potential in Armenia and number of other issues were discussed during the seminar.
