Will a geothermal power plant be in Armenia?

Relevant studies are being conducted for building the first geothermal power plant in Armenia. The director of the Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund Tamara Babayan informed about this during her meeting with journalists. She stated that the studies were carried out in Karkar and Gridzor. The total project price makes 1 mln. USD, which is the grant of the World bank. “The study results will be summarized at the end of the year and only then it will be known whether it is feasible to build a geothermal power plant.
