03.08.2016 Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund implemented street lighting activities in communities under the Energy Efficiency Project. The following energy saving measures has been implemented within the Kapan city street lighting project: replacement of mercury lamps with sodium high-pressure lamps of equivalent illumination in the same quantity, regulation of management and control systems, improvement of lighting network parameters, replacement of old feeding electric wires with new street lighting high pressure sodium lamps, installation of lighting systems and pillars, coloring of pillars. Due to energy saving measures savings are about 38.2%, and the number of lighted streets increased consequently.
