24.05.2013 A lecture and drawing competition was organized at Yerevan High school № 42 after T.Shevchenko on May 21 together with the Armenia R2E2 Fund, Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia and “Assistance to Reforms” NGO, in which about 40 students from 4 to 8 grades of the school took part. The objective of the event, organized under the “Energy Efficiency Project” publicawareness campaign, is to disseminate knowledge on energy efficiency among the students, educate energy efficiency behavioral rules, introduce EE culture into household and encourage application of energy efficiency. Lusine Harutyunyan the member of the board of “Assistance to the Reforms” NGO made an opening speech, then Karine Aleksanyan, the Head of Preschool and Secondary Education of the Department of Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RA and school director Eleonora Tumanyan welcomed and emphasized the importance to the event. The R2E2 Fund specialists Tigran Sekoyan and Gayane Bakhchisarantseva, made presentatations, spoke about the energy efficiency, the benefits of EE for each family and for the country in general, explained how w EE can reflect positively on the comfort and on budget of the families. After the lecture e Anushik Petrosyan, Executive Director of “Assistance to the Reforms” NGO organized energy efficiency game and drawing competition. The winner received a certificate of the winner from the Fund in the end of the game, the other groups received Certificates for participation.
