Conference under the name ”Energy Efficiency and International Cooperation” launched in Yerevan

The Conference under the name ”Energy Efficiency and International Cooperation” organized by Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund (R2E2) took place in Yerevan, Armenia, on December 7, 8. 2016.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Yerevan office project manager Liana Marukyan, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scientific Associate Benjamin Fricke, the head of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Department of the Ministry of the Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources of the RA Hayk Badalyan, Armenia R2E2 Fund Director Tamara Babayan, as well as related government agencies, international organizations and projects , and representatives of non-governmental organizations, experts and other stakeholders took part in the Conference.

R2E2 Fund Director Tamara Babayan and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Scientific Associate Benjamin Fricke welcomed the participants of the Conference.

Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy related issues, particularly EE promotion and International Cooperation in Armenia, Energy Efficiency Scale up in Municipalities, WB/GEF financed Energy Efficiency Project outcomes and lessons, the results of ESMs implemented in communities, energy security issues and sustainable energy development in Syunik region were discussed during the Conference. Second NEEAP /National EE Action Plan/, as well as reviews of implemented EE innovative measures implemented in Armenia were presented during the Conference.
