A meeting was held in Shirak regional administration within the framework of the Innovative solutions for sustainable development goals in Armenia project on August 14. Chief of Staff of Shirak region Karen Badishyan, the relevant staff of the regional administration and community leaders were present at the discussion. Energy specialist of Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund Norayr Haroutyunyan Asatryan presented the “Innovative Solutions for SDG Implementation in Armenia” project, which envisages installation of solar water heaters and PV panels for families having 3 or more children and residing in non-gasified communities of Gegharkunik region, providing them with soft loans through partner banks.
The development and scheduling of the activities, as well as the procedures to be implemented with the banks within the project framework were discussed with the staff of the regional administration. Project coordinator Norayr Haroutyunyan answered the questions of the participants relating to the project.
