An event under the name “Energy Talks for Businesses” launched on July 7, 2017, organized by the European Business Association and the EU funded SMEDA project. Renewable energy sector reforms and projects, achievements and further developments were introduced during the event. The Director of Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund Mr. Armen Melkikyan took part at the event.
The Director of the R2E2 Fund introduced the Fund’s activities, in particular, Energy Efficiency projects, Geothermal Exploratory Drilling Project, and construction of Utility-scale solar power plants project. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the European Business Association and Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund. The memorandum envisages implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in Armenia, elaboration and introduction of public policies to renewable energy sector, as well as reduction of negative impact on the environment.
