EE/RES Policy Workshop and Brokerage Event on Energy launched in Armenia

29.09.2016 Renewable Energy workshop and Brokerage Event launched at Opera Suite Hotel on September 29th, within the framework of the European Union Energy Days, organized by the European Union Delegation initiative with its partner institutions implementing EU-funded projects. The Event is supported by the Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund. A series of events is taking place highlighting contribution of EU-funded programs to energy security and promotion of alternative and sustainable energy solutions in Armenia for the benefit of the citizens of Armenia. Director of Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund Tamara Babayan welcomed the participants and noted that the goal of the project is to discuss main directions of EE/RES policy and whether they are in harmony with the European Union policy. European Union delegation member to Armenia Ludovic Ciechanowski greeted the guests and spoke about the EU policy and initiatives in the Eastern Partnership Region, as well as energy security and energy independence development trends in Armenia. The representative of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources Hayk Badalyan presented the main directions of energy efficiency and renewable energy policy and the development perspectives. The representatives of state institutions, energy sector companies, universities and various stakeholder companies  took part at the conference.
