On October 6, public hearings were held in the conference hall of the Shengavit
administrative district of Yerevan. The event was dedicated to the environmental and social impact of the 250 kW floating solar power plant planned to build on Lake Yerevan.
The Head of the Department of Ecology of Yerevan Municipality Gevorg Nazaryan, project stakeholders, representatives of state bodies, environmental NGOs, and R2E2 `s partner French organization TRANSENERGIE were present at the meeting.
The project development` s importance and forthcoming works were discussed during the meeting. The participants` questions concerning the plant construction site were responded to in detail, recommendations and concerns expressed were recorded and considered in the course of project design.
