Discussions on the “RA National Program on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy” for 2021-2030 and a three-year program for the implementation of its first stage are in process. Activities are carried out in accordance with the agreement signed between the Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund and the United Nations Development Program.
It is planned to evaluate the previous National Energy program of the Republic of Armenia, assess its effectiveness, reveal the problems of the sector and set up priority actions for the next 10 years.
The first stage involves assessing the results of the National Program on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy for 2010-2017, as well as initiatives and programs related to the sector.
At the second stage, it is envisaged to develop the National Program on Energy Saving and Renewable Energy for 2021-2030 based on the results of the 1st stage and identify current development trends.
Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund cooperates with “AVAG SOLUTIONS” Ltd and “SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF ENERGY” CJSC in the framework of the agreement.
Well-known consultants in the sector are also involved in the development of the program.
