On June 16, a workshop ”Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in Communities” was held at COAF kids center in Vanadzor in the scope of the ”Together Brighter” festival. Teachers from the COAF Center, representatives of local self-governing bodies, NGO representatives and more than hundred children studying in the Center took part at the workshop.
Ashot Giloyan, Head of the Local Self-Government Policy Department at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Christ Marukyan, director of COAF smart Center greeted the participants.
The purpose of the event was to promote the use of energy efficient technologies in communities, increase public awareness among the population and discuss various EE projects implementation perspectives with the international organizations acting in the sector.
R2E2 Fund experts delivered speeches, introduced activities of the Fund, perspectives of solar power development in Armenia, renewable energy envision through the eyes of children, as well as outcomes of implemented Energy Efficiency projects.
