Bright Border 14.05.2018

On May 14, the specialists of the R2E2 Fund visited Sarigyugh, Voskevan and Nerkin Tsaghkavan frontier villages of Tavush region in the framework of the “Bright Border” charity program with the support of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Resources Fund and the UN Development Program (UNDP) financing.

The Initiative is under the auspices of the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources.  672 households in three border villages are provided with 5 LED lamps, 3360 lamps in total.

LED lamps ensure 80-90% energy saving and have a 3 year warranty period.

The “Bright Border” is a voluntary-public Initiative, which aims to inform the population of the country about the possibility of economy through the use of affordable and energy efficient technologies (installation of LED lamps) in the border villages of Armenia and Artsakh.

In the result of the “Bright Border” Initiative launched in November, 2016, 4343 households of 22 frontier villages are provided with 5 LED lamps, about 21,715 in total.
