The International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana started its work on June 9, 2017 and will end on September 10, 2017. The main theme of EXPO-2017 is “Energy of the Future”. Armenia Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund (R2E2) has been appointed to be the national operator of “Astana EXPO 2017″ exhibition by the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
To ensure effective participation of the Republic of Armenia in exhibition, R2E2 Fund was supported by Armenia Development Fund, the construction of the pavilion was completed by “ExpoMedia” LLC. Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Kazakhstan assisted greatly to R2E2 Fund. The pavilion of the RA at “Astana EXPO 2017″ exhibition is focused on energy, culture and tourism. The recent achievements in energy system will be presented in the Armenian pavilion of “Astana EXPO 2017″, such as construction of solar power plants, utility-scale geothermal exploratory drilling project, power sector legislative reforms, the latest developments in science and technology solutions in “clean energy” sector, as well as private companies involved in the field of energy production.
Series of films dedicated to tourism in Armenia will also be introduced during the exhibition, the visitors of the pavilion can see real pictures of Armenia’s tourist attractions by VR (Virtual Reality) glasses. It is expected that representatives from 115 countries will participate in EXPO-2017, and more than 5 million people will visit the exhibition.
