The objective of the “Bright Border” project is to create a long-term opportunity to save on electricity consumption, and consequently, to smooth household burdens for the frontier communities of Armenia and Artsakh, by frequently volunteering in installation of LED lamps. The project also contributes to the growth of public awareness of significant energy saving opportunities through affordable and energy-efficient technologies.
\nOn average, payback period of each LED lamp is 2.5 months. For a 36-month warranty period saving is 24,000 AMD.
\nWith the help of the project, 19 frontier villages have been already provided with energy-efficient (up to 90% energy-efficient) LED- lamps. In the scope of the “Bright Border” project 3.671 families were provided with 17,790 LED- lamps in total.
\nEach charity visit brings us closer to the main objective set for the project, which is to install LED lamps in 36 communities of Armenia and in all frontier communities of Artsakh.
\nEveryone has a chance to be a part of the “Bright Border” project, making his contribution to the account opened specially for the project. The whole collected amount is spent for the purchase of LED lamps. Besides, R2E2 Fund carries out all other expenses associated with the project.<\/p>\n
